I recently visited the American Sign Museum in Cincinnati, Ohio. Any sign collector would enjoy the realistic storefronts with great old signs. Lots of neon on display and a working neon repair shop that you can watch. There is a movie theater where you can see short videos of sign history and how neon works & is repaired. I had a nice chat with the museum founder, Tod Swormstedt. He's in the middle, I'm on the right and my wife is on the left in the picture below.

Great place for signage history. Jaw dropping actually. Thanks for the pictures Jim. How long does it take to see an enjoyable collection like that?

I was there with my wife for over 2 hours. She's not really into it as I am. I could spend all day there and would have watched every video in the theater and watched the neon craftsmen until they asked me to move along.

If you go to visit the American Sign Museum in Cincinnati, be sure to also visit the "Standard Covington" restaurant just across the river in a vintage Standard station.

Here is an article I saw on NY neon. It's a good read and some awesome pictures of NYC neon.
