As our smart phones get more powerful, the digital memory size of photos and screenshots are getting larger. This may cause the built-in upload mechanism here on the forum to have trouble handling them. Screenshots are often saved in "png" format that is not optimized well by our system. That is why most screenshots don't display in a post, but have a link to click in order to see it.
There is a free photo edit app from Google for Android and iPhone called Snapseed. With Snapseed, you can crop your photo, if needed, and then save it in a reduced size that displays great on the forum. Then you'll have an easy upload into your forum post using Attachment Manager on the message submit form. Your revised image may be saved in a separate folder from your regular photos. You may have to change folders to a Snapseed folder.
The key is to change Snapseed's Settings to:
"800" for "Image Sizing"
"80%" for "Format and Quality"
In Snapseed, click on the 3 dots in the top right corner of your screen and select "Settings"
See the screenshot below of Snapscreen Settings.
You can find Snapseed in the App store for your smart phone.
