Need help on cleaning/replacing the numbers on these exterior gallon markers. And wondering which brand may have used pumps with these markers so as to determine which colors to restore?! I have found no picture of another pump like this...

I have glass beaded the gallon indicators. Then clear coated them and repainted the numbers by hand. Be very careful not to overheat them in the blast cabinet. They will warp. The other tags can be mounted on wood using #6 sheet metal round head screws. You can buff them clean and polish before removing. Once removed, finish up by hand. You are only mounting them in order to control the work. When buffing, pieces have a tendency to fly away. Regards, Paul

GB 177 did not have exterior gallon markers. Two interior sticks. I have photos of 177 gallon markers.

The 176 has internal numbers. The 177 has external numbers and lights. At least all I've owned were configured this way.

Check with Petro relics for the gallon marker tags, that is where I got mine.

My 177 has the two rods with internal round markers as shown above. Anyone know where to source them. tried PetroRelics but they may not sell them anymore. Also, where to source those rivets that hold them to the spring clip miniscus? Many thanks

G&B stuff is tough, no real consistency. They used loads of different marker styles and even swapped over time, so matching exact originals is hit or miss. Best bet is restore what you’ve got and base colours off period photos rather than one 'correct' setup
