Marathon give away pot scrubber. The early glass slide was made for use in movie theaters and were projected on the screen during intermission. Just like today, advertising to a captive audience is nothing new, haha! Darin

Socony Vacuum Tavern birthday candles.
The Christmas ornaments are probably my most unique Mobil related items. The large ornament is about 5-1/2" in diameter. It was one of a pair in an antique mall for sale for years, at what I thought were exorbitant prices. One eventually sold and since I hadn't seen any others I bought this one but the owner made me a good deal since it had been there so long. I haven't seen any others of this large size since and I've had it for years. I always assumed they were made as part of a decorating kit for the station windows since they're so large. The box of smaller ones I always figured were given out by Mobil to employees and station owners. I can't really see them being a customer giveaway item as why would your average customer put ornaments with Pegasus on their trees?! These too are quite scarce, which also leads me to believe they were only given out to Mobil associates and employees, not the general public. Darin

An 18" tall ceramic Champion spark plug is my desk lamp. This is a 9 year old photo. My desk isn't that cleaned off today.
