Hello,

I am trying to find for sale or even just identify the source an old cap cap that was used on I assume 2 stokes in the early 1960s and perhaps late 1950s, the cap states "Use Veedol Oil"

The cap diameter is around 1.5 Inches definitely less than 2 and the length as it accommodates a measuring cup for 2 stoke oil is about 2 inches.

The cap material seems to be plastic but it might be cast cheaper metal. I ahve attached some pictures, ive looked through credible sources, chain saws, moped in the UK German and the US but I've not found the source yet.

Any feedback would be great, even better if you have one for sale, I am assuming the source is the USA due to the reference to Veedol vs Castrol which seemed to be more common in the UK at the time.

I have joined the forum to ask this question hence I have no post history but its a genuine enquiry for your expertise

Thank you

Here's a link to photos of a 1965 Peel Trident tiny car with a cap that looks like it may be what you seek.

Hi thanks for the reply, I was aware of this usecase on the Peel Trident, apologies I should have noted that. With that particular car having a production run of less than 30 cars I was hoping to find a use of this cap on a more common piece of equipment from the era, there is a chance that it was a custom made cap as ive found no indication of its use on small engines etc.

Hello
I own an original Peel P50 but stupidly lost my Veedol petrol cap. I am looking for a replacement and would be most grateful to anyone happy to sell me one. My email huser@huser.co.uk
