I am filling in for Ted Roach this month on SOTM for July. He wanted to do dealership signs parts or anything car related this month. Should be a great month and lets don't let Ted down. As always he requests we give information about the sign (porcelain, tin, size, etc...).

I will start it off with a porcelain Olds sign I photographed in an antique mall. If you need help posting pictures just email me and I will post it for you and you can fill in the information.

This rocket was used on the hood that had plexiglass inserts so U could see the New Rocket V-8 engine in the dealer's showroom. It has string of 6 volt lights down the center of the rocket, which, after 15 years I still haven't hooked up!!LOL

Pics of my original Ford and United Motors neons can be found in the Showcase & Stories topic "New Petro Game Room Photos For Your Weekend" posted by Poor Man's Museum. Thanks again Curt for posting for me. I'm getting ready to have my large Mulholland Sign Co. Ford dealership sign's neon restored. Have talked to several shops and hope to have it done this fall. I have a large Mercury sign that needs neon repair that came from the same Ford-Mercury dealership.

OK, I'll jump in here with a variation:

Not sure if this is a MoPar item or not, but it reminds me of a MoPar item, with the colors, etc.
The Safety Tested sign is 18" across

The white stamp on the bottom area says Walker & Co Detroit

I bought it as shown and it was NOS (with the chips) never mounted. It is single sided, the back a greyish color.

Next:

I think the safety-tested sign is an Oldsmobile sign from the 40's. Traded one of those for a union oil bus bench sign. Is that the 36" version? Nice condition!!

I thought we might see some GMC truck signs. Does anyone have some to post? I think there are four or five versions of the orange sign.

Here are some GMC procelain signs. The orange sign is DSP 42". The neon on the floor is a recent estate sale find.

THIS IS SIMILAR TO REX'S ON PAGE 2. I'VE HAD THIS SIGN (D/S PORC) FOR ABOUT 28 YEARS. I REMEMBER FINDING IT ON MY NEIGHBORS GARBAGE ONE EVENING AND I PICKED IT UP PUT IT ON MY HEAD AND WALKED HOME 2 BLOCKS! WHILE IT WAS "FREE TO ME" I REALLY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT'S WORTH. PRACTICALLY IN NEAR MINT COND.
