Hello everyone,

I’m hoping to find the right collector for a piece that has been in our family shop for many years.

This is an original John Bean cabinet that came from a Pontiac dealership service department.

My husband and his father owned an auto body shop and this cabinet stayed in our shop for over 20 years, and before that it belonged to my husband’s father.

It still has the original hardware.

Approximate dimensions• 130½ inches long (almost 11 ft)• 15½ inches deep• 5 ft tall

Because of the size, I believe this is one of the larger full-size cabinets, not the smaller shop units.

I know John Bean equipment has a following with petroliana collectors, vintage garage collectors, and restoration shops, so I wanted to share it here first.

This is something I never planned to sell, but life circumstances have changed and I’m trying to pay down my mortgage, so I would love to see it go to someone who appreciates vintage dealership equipment.

Located in Virginia.

I’m happy to provide additional photos or details if anyone is interested.

Thank you for taking a look.

Marinda

Scroll down most of the page at:

Go to: "John Bean Visualiner - Lansing, Michigan 1946 - 1958"

You'll see that this cabinet was the wall unit of a John Bean Visualiner wheel alignment rack as shown below. The inset areas on each side were the screen for the wheel alignment projection.
