Hi, I wanted to let members know to be on the lookout for a stolen Firestone porcelain sign. I believe it is possibly a extremely rare sign. It's was stolen from my building exterior between March 27th and Easter holiday 2026. I think it was a 30x60. cobalt blue background red letters outlined in white it reads Firestone tires and in white letters most miles per rupee. It was stolen in Carroll county Ohio and If you could notify Carroll county sheriff's department with information regarding seller. I have a photo of part of the sign I will try to attach. Should I ask my sheriff department to notify NSAF because this is valued over $2000 dollars and has historical significance? Or does this qualify? I am not a sign expert, so any advice on who else I should notify? Thanks everyone.

Always sorry to hear of thefts like this. Provide the local law enforcement agencies with a complete photo of the sign or if you don't have one showing it mounted on the building, find a representative photo for reference. Contact television networks to see if they can provide coverage of this theft and then contact Crime Stoppers in your area to see if they can run an informational ad on radio or TV offering a reward for information. Face Book and second hand shops are also likely locations to check. This serves as a reminder to all collectors with items on display to take the time to create a photographic inventory of your collections, especially those items most vulnerable. : (

Thanks, UpnorthNeil, If a reward was to be offered, how much money would be appropriate? Has anyone else ever seen a 30 x 60 sign like this? Would anyone on here estimate a value for the possibility of reporting to National stolen art through the sheriff department? I think this was a sign for India, or maybe another country. I don't have insurance on the sign, so not looking for a dollar figure for insurance, just to get sheriff department to report national. Thanks?

The reward is typically advertised by Crime Stoppers as "Up to $1000." The actual amount is determined by the accuracy and completeness of the "tip" and usually requires the arrests of the individual(s) responsible for the theft.
