Hi. As the title says, I've always wanted a gas pump, and a Gilbarco 1000 series finally popped up near me for sale. I'm going to semi-restore it for looks mainly, but I've got the 'computer' mostly working, except for the dollar amount on the backside takes a while to reset to zero. I've restored a number of old cars and a few trucks, my latest being a 67 Corvair 500 that I bought after I sold my 59 Chevy Yeoman and 63.5 Ford Galaxie 500. The Corvair was to keep me busy as I'm retired. It's almost done, so I looked for a gas pump to take up my time and I found this mostly complete Gilbarco nearby.
I'm also into die cast model cars and trucks and have too many. I built many plastic and die cast models since I was a kid, and still have my first model truck that I built at around age 10.
I came here to learn more about gas pumps, mine in particular, though it seems to be pretty simple. I'll be asking questions as time goes by.
Thanks for letting me join.
Phil
