I recently bought a Bennett 766 and I'm toying with the idea of making the the computer functional. There are multiple threads on the topic that I will be checking out but I was hoping to get some help identifying what computer I actually have. From the little research I've done I see there is a 8" and 12". Am I to assume it's the 8" because of the measurement between the faceplate mounting screws? I'm also confused because the cents per gallon is in whole numbers. Most I've seen have cents and tenths of a cent. Thoughts?

The pump will function with a large screwdriver to turn the mechanism but it is tight. Would you recommend completely disassembling the computer to clean and lube or just spaying it down with PB Blaster and go from there? Also, having a bell is pretty cool but I don't see one on this unit. Can it be added? Any advice would be appreciated!

After looking at the pics of the Veeder Root computers for sale on this site it definitely looks like mine is the 12".

8", 10.75"(?) and 12". The measurement is the length in between the faces. But yes, 766 uses a 12" VR with a front totalizer.
I usually soak a VR in a bucket of oil for a week or daily blasts of something like Marvel or PB for a week or 2.
The bell has to have some supporting pieces that are sometimes there and sometimes not. So, it may be easy to add or better to get one with the bell still there.
