Just out of historical curiosity, can anyone identify this logo? It's on a Bowser 575 that was used on the farm here in East Central Illinois. I'm not sure when it was acquired, but it was likely some time in the sixties. It has had multiple coats of paint, but the red bottom/ white top color scheme appears to go all the way down to the metal. There are several layers of logo decals, but after some scraping, they also appear to be the same logo applied multiple times. As you can see, during its farm service, a FS sticker was applied that saved a small chunk of the original logo. Scraping some of the paint of, it appears the text on the perimeter reads "...STAR SERVICE CO....". The main logo is a blue five pointed star with red text superimposed. Any ideas? I probably won't go back with this branding as is like to have a globe, but I'd love to know where it was in its first life.
