Don't want to sound unappreciative to anyone or anything, but this is called "oldgas" for a reason...

I certainly understand that photos from the modern era may not be interesting to many petroliana enthusiasts. But the "modern" thread has over 750 views in two weeks, so there is some interest there.

Not sure if we could get full agreement on when to draw the line between the classic old gas station era and the modern era. I'd assume that pictures with gas dispensers are modern and pics with gas pumps that have a pump inside them are "old."

Jim, drawing the line between old and new would be pretty much impossible anyway. The "modern" thread has some signs I would personally consider "old" in it for example. It's all good, I'm enjoying the modern thread anyway.

What is new will be old. I don't think one thread on what is current is doing any harm. I myself am appreciating the same type of art in line with this forum. Like any other thread, we all have a choice not view it if it offends us. The thread is directly related to the topic of this forum.

The title of the site is not rule defining. I don't think we should restrict ourselves.

From my view point, I love the change in pace. When I first saw the thread it put a smile on face. The photos posted are of clean organized businesses. I have an open mind to learn and see new things.

Keep up the great work Jim. I greatly appreciate all that you do for us.

Now back to posting more photos. Keep the pics coming, they are great.
