This month I would like to do West Coast independent companies to include: Beacon, Douglas, Golden Eagle, Hancock, Norwalk, PDQ, Savn Sam, Seaside, Sunland, Sunset, Time, Veltex, and Wilshire (including Polly). These are not all the west coast companies and not limited to the west coast so everyone can participate. As always post as much information as you have and duplicates of signs are fine. Thanks Ted
The first sign is a pump plate from my collection all porcelain Super from Time and the 2nd is a Premium from Time. Co.

Many of the early Seaside signs were hand painted. This one on the Solvang Garage was given to them in exchange for "top billing" on the station. Despite the Seaside sign there were several brands being pumped at the islands in the 20's.

The Mendenhall's have an impressive collection of west coast company signs. Here are some examples.

Should be interesting thread Ted. Here are a couple of photos that I took at Columbus last summer. The Time is a porcelain 6 footer and the Signal was a thick cardboard sign over 6 feet.

Ray Sieder in Carpenteria California has an impressive collection of west coast signs. I haven't seen his collection in person yet but he shared these pictures with me so I hope he doesn't mind if I share them with you.

Collector Jim Sharp of Port Hueneme, CA (near Oxnard & Dick Bennett) has amassed a nice collection of Petrolania from garage sales, flea markets and swap meets including these two Seaside signs

Ted, here is another picture for the group. I found this picture that I took of this neat sign at Iowa Gas last summer.
