Okay, lets have a new pump of the month for March. Argueably the greatest pump of all time and recognized by all, The Wayne 60. I will post some pictures later this eve.
Frankie, lets start with your new Veltex Cut 60, its way cool and is a great example of a west coast original.

Well, let's get this pump of the month started!....I know I've mentioned before, but the Wayne 60 is my favorite pump. The Atlantic clock face, I found on ebay. It came from back east as we don't have any "Atlantic" on the west coast. The Signal and the Shell pump, I turned into display case's, to use for display of smaller toy pumps, toy gas stations, and some coin operated lighter fluid dispenser gas pumps. These would have been on the counter at gas stations for the customers to fill their cigarette lighters. Maybe I should share photos of those too? Come on guys, I want to see some of your great Wayne 60's....... ------------------ Don "oltoydoc" Sherwood

Here is my buddy Dodogas's Wayne 60, and Hubba, its for sale, $1350 and it's only 5 hours away, he might even take a tattoo on partial trade Anyway, it's all original with Imperial ad glass. Dodo and I got out first Wayne 60's about 5 years ago, that was a pretty exciting day, we don't see too many up here, the Snow & Igloo's cover everything for 11 months of the year, and the sled dog's hate packing another 600lbs of dead weight.

This Wayne 60 stands guard outside my shop.It is a bit unusual in that the round cover on the front panel is covering a crank shaft. This pump is an electric and hand crank. Very useful in rural areas where early electric suppliers left a little to be desired.

This is my most recent attempt at a Wayne 60. Done this way at customers request. Personally, I'd have reversed the green and black. Just my personal taste.

Morgan, I think the pump looks fine with this color scheme. Of course, it is hard to screw up a Wayne 60. They look good no matter how they are painted! Excellent job.

Here are a couple of our 60s. The Utoco is a narrow body and the orange and black one is a wide body. the orange one is patiently waiting for a Pep 88 globe if any one has one they will part with.

Exciting day?? you didnt get to blow in the breathalyzer on the way home!! While i was tying down the pumps Pogo and the guy that sold the pumps were looking at pics an having a beer, they left an empty on the tranny hump in a plasic pail. We were so pumped to get our first Wayne 60's we drove home and forgot about it. Later that night I got pulled over, the officer shone his flashlight in the truck saw the empty on the tranny hump right beside me and all hell broke loose. He really looked disapointed that I blew under. So Pogo missed that part, he couldnt get the pump into his van and home fast enough,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,DODO
