As promised, here it is! I finished this box assembly yesterday and with a little help from the wife, we were able to get it in place and take a couple of pics for you guys!
One of the pics shows how it looked with the globes just sitting there on the platform. The other 2 pics show the box assembly that I built for row #2 to be displayed and the box assembly with the loose globes on it, lit up, that makes it all possible!
Now I have room for 3 more new globes, so I get to be on the hunt for the rest of the winter. I have a lot of Texaco globes because I just bought the globes from the Texaco distributor that were rescued when he got out of the business!
I'm already thinking as to how I can build another level when the time comes! Don't know if the electrical circuit would handle another 7 globes or not?

Those bottom globe holders are cool. Look very familiar. Hope you used the heavy duty ones for the glass body globes.

Looks great!

Looking great!!!! Are you using the pig tail new style lights or a reg. bulb? Those florecent ones use a lot less "juice" and you can put more on a run. They look pretty good if you by the warm ones and not the bright whites.

Looking good!!! Keep us posted!

Brian,
Don't you make those? LOL I didn't know you had 2 differant styles... one for capco and one for glass. Do you care to post pics of them so we can see them. Maybe some others would want some!

K W, must of got his from Ron Scobie, but yea I made them. I made the first style (capco) for 5 or 6 years. Then Cheese wanted some that would hold a heavier globe, so I beefed them up. Also when I first started making them I painted them, we have an attached garage and that didn't go over to well with Kristin so I have them powdercoated now. I'll get some pictures of them, don't have any made up right now.

Display looks great!!!

Brian--Yep, the bottom row came from Ron Scobie and really works well for wall mounts or an area like where I used them! That clover globe is pretty heavy and it supports it OK! I hope they're the heavy duty ones. I attached a pic that shows them better.
