I got a couple more signs to add to the collection. First is an eBay score, single sided porcelain. Second is the top of a tire rack, double sided painted. There are at least two versions of this sign, the other one has some yellow in the tire logo. It is about 12X42 or so.

Ebay purchase. Does anybody have any history on the Sheldon Oil Company? I bought the sign because I used to live in Sheldon, WI. [This message has been edited by Scott Baselt (edited 10-21-2007).]

I also have a Sheldon Sign. It was a small oil and natural gas company out of a small town near Farfield CA. called Susian. Not in business any longer. I don't know if they ever sold gasoline.Ted

Here is a Fly-Foil can from the JD Streett Oil Co. I got this from eBay after a tip from Dick Bennett. If the professor hadn't have told me, I would have missed it for sure. Thanks, Dick. A nice addition to my JD Streett / Zephyr Gas collection. The HPX 2 gallon oil can is another JD Streett product I recently found. ------------------ Jim "Oldgas" PottsYour host and moderator

Sheldon Oil had a fleet of tankers at one time and hauled "hot" road oil.To my knowledge they were never in the gasoline business. They were bought out by a co.in Sacramento the name of which escapes me.
