When Elvis and I went to Oregon last Oct. I was able to purchase a large (6'x15') porcelain/neon BF Goodrich sign. On this last trip, I got it down, and stored in my shop. Here are a few photos of the process.

Removing it from the top of the building.

On to the trailer for the 18 mile ride.

Had to drop it on the ground outside of the "garage mahal" in order to use the crane to get it inside.

Swinging it inside the shop.

Finally on the garage floor. Can you believe this. All of the neon glass tubing was in tact when it was removed? Amazing. The outside edge lights up blue, and the center letters Red. Over 230 feet of neon tubing. Wow!

All right! Happt you got that one in hand, that guy was funny. They must have stood around thinking what a fool you were for wanting that ol' sign, lol! Damn Californian's would buy anything, even the sign off your roof.
That was a good trip, and you are still reaping the rewards

Hopefully, it will be hung in someone else's garage. I have a pretty big place, but it's not big enough for this sign. My original intent was to split the sign, but it's just too nice to split. Know anyone that collects "big" signs?

Don I have to say you have the biggest one I have ever seen. Would look great on top of my shop out here in the boonies all lit up. I would have got it also. Good find. Ted
