I was on my way to work this mornin and was driving by an old car dealership thatwent out of buisiness. They had a pile of junk with a sign on it that said FREE. Ofcourse I had to stop and noop for treasures. I was loading the car with pump hoses , neon balasts and a big old lubester when an older guy cam eshuffling out and said "take it all".."its all gotta go". We got talking and I find out he owned a Time gas station and an Associated station back in the day. He said he didnt have any globes or signs or pumps "threw all that junk away years ago" ...We did make a deal for about 300 hubcaps though...alot of Cadillac and others from the 40's to the late 80's. He said he knew they were worth alot more than I paid but he didnt like computers and I could sell them on the internet and do pretty good. I agreed. I wish I could have spent all day talking with him about his old gas stations but I had to go to work ....I told him I would come back on Tuesday with doughnuts to help him move stuff and talk. Old Harry is a super guy and i bet he has station stuff stashed somewhere that he forgot about. He took a liking to me and I, him and look forward to helping Him move junk , just to listen to his old "full service" stories of days past. You never know ...he might remember where he stashed that old Flying A sign or Time pump plate he forgot he had...if not its still cool hanging out with him...he's a Hoot.
Will update story as it progresses. Anyone looking for a specific hubcap or set...let me know.

Nice work Hubba! Good luck with those, I sold a set of old ('62) Caddy hub caps on ebay and got like $100 for the set. Not bad, only paid $40 for them at a swap meet. They were for my coup but then I sold it and bought gas pumps
I remember the good old days when gold was worth more than rust!

Hey Hubbacap looks like you can pick your pets/dogs out a new dog dish for each day of the week. one for food & one for water. LOL! oh man where are you going to put all these hubcaps? youll be out digging around in the cold for 1/2 an hour lookin for a 61 chev cap & then the guy will offer you $1.50 for it. --- i say pick out the good ones & set em aside then go buy an ol beater, a BIG ol car & screw hubcaps all over it. get some 3" screws & completely cover the car with hubbacaps!!! park her out front of the tatoo shop! LOL! everybody in town would know where you live, & where you were thursday night at 10:00, & where you bought your gas & when you pulled in somewhere to buy an old gas pump you would scare the heck out of the people & theyd run in theyre house & bolt the doors & hide in the basement!!! LOL!!!!!!

There was a guy in Stockton called the hub-cap King man did he have them. made a nice liveing selling them. do you know what a beauty ring for a 68 firebird costs.? or a cap for an 80t's caddy? or a 1954-56 flicker oldsmobile, or a 1959 dodge charger. man Hubba you da Man. if you don't sell them take them to local Franks and hang them on his train route. so he can talk about them as he goes around that property. ha ha ha .
