I'm new to the oil can collecting hobby. Can someone give me a few hints on cleaning cardboard oil cans? Fantastic or 409 works good to take dirt/oil off the cans, but it has also taken the paint/printing off a couple of cans. Thanks for for any advice.

I use super clean.. or purple power..
I've found that the trick is to water it down some so that it isn't as strong..

Rooster,
Leave all of the cleaning fluids alone!! Soap and water for the dirt. W-D 40 will work real good on the oily cans.
