Don, I tried to buy the 2 A-38's [1 has a globe holder] almost 17 yrs ago. Have you found the 6' TEXACO sign or the WAYNE 71 yet ? Your place ain't too far from either. In '87 I bought 3 gas carts in Medford for $225. And the next year I bought 8 visibles [3 with good cylinders] for $1,000. Those were the GOOD OLD DAYS !!

Dick, You 'da man! I actually spoke to the guy that owns this station about 4 years ago, but he ran me off. Quite the crotchity old guy. This year, when I went back, he had died, the property was willed to his grandson. I haven't found him yet, but I have a lead. No, on the sign and pump. I haven't located them yet. But if the "God Father of Pumps" wasn't able to get them, who could? LOL.. ------------------ Don "oltoydoc" Sherwood Vintage Gas

This Roman is one of the pictures that I have taken of farmers with their pumps..... it still has the original Standard Ethyl decal on it and the red white and blue vertical stripe paint scheme.... you can't see it in this pic, but right behind it is a Bowser C-77... bob

Not much left of this Bennett 541 and Tokheim 39 at this old Richfield station along the Pacific coast highway. I took the pic on my way to Turlock in 2001. I'll bet Dick or Don knows where they are located. Vern

This pump is perched on a porch in Solvang. Perhaps I can purchase it for a pleasant price.
