About 6 weeks ago I was going to a service call in a town on the line between D.C. and Maryland and I noticed this pump in a side yard of a old building.I have driven past this site for the last 15 or so years and never noticed it before.Stopped and ck'ed it out ,found it to be a 646 Bennett and in pretty good cond, did a property search and sent the owner a letter offering to buy it ,no reply.Kept driving by hoping to see some one around and finally did.He gave me the owners ph # and I called ,no reply.Last friday I drove by for one last time and found a rival pump and tank co.had pulled the tank and had set the pump aside .Turned out I knew one of the guys working there and bought the pump from him right in front of the original owner who would'nt return my calls. When I got it home I opened it up and found the light extension and the original spanner wrenches inside. The pump came from Pa. and was a Sinclair "Betholene".
