GOOD SUNDAY EVENING MY FRIENDS OF THE OLDGAS COMMUNITY!

IT'S TIME FOR "BUYS OF THE WEEK!" TO BEGIN.
TIME TO SHOW OFF THE TREASURES YOU BOUGHT, TRADED OR JUST GOT FOR FREE DURING THE PAST SEVEN DAYS.

THE BIG NEWS AMONG MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS WAS AFTER WANTING AND WAITING FOR 3.5 YEARS, I FINALLY GOT IN WITH THE RIGHT O.M.H. OFFICER FROM NEW YORK STATE WHO ALLOWED ME (HELPED ME TOO) EXTRACT THIS A.O.SMITH 910 BULK PUMP FROM THE PLUMBING BUILDING AT THE NOW 10 YEARS CLOSED PSYCHIATRIC CENTER IN KINGS PARK. HE SAW I WAS A TRUE COLLECTOR, WHICH IS HOW I GOT THIS UNUSUAL LOOKING WINDOWLESS 50'S SHORTY PUMP:

THIS NEXT PIC SHOWS A 2-GALLON CAN I GOT FROM EBAY LAST WEEK:

AND THIS LAST ITEM WAS GIVEN TO ME FRIDAY AFTERNOON BY MY NEW NEIGHBOR AS AN ICE BREAKER TO TELL ME THAT I NEEDED TO MOVE MY CANOE FROM HIS RACK ON THE BEACH SINCE HE HAD JUST PURCHASED A KAYAK THAT DAY. BY NOON SATURDAY MORNING, I HAD BUILT ANOTHER RACK FOR MY RIDE AND THE REST IS (FORD) HISTORY....TAKE A LOOK!....

FRONT COVER OF 1927 SOCONY/FORD 30-PAGE LUBRICATION GUIDE. ROUGHLY 4" X 7"

BACK COVER OF SAME

AND CENTERFOLD SHOWING A FORD CHASSIS OF THE ERA.

SO, LET'S SEE WHAT YOU GOT THIS PAST WEEK!

THANKS!

We had a pretty good week, I bought 3 pumps at an auction (which I will post later in the week) and 8 pumps while my dad was on vacation. He was able to get a good deal on them and get them all. The last pictures are of some of my auction buys. I hope everybody had a good week.

These are from the last month or so, some are from the gas bash in Denver. The Reem 34 is from Dwain Buck, and the Bowser is from Scottdog. Thanks guys!
Thanks for looking.
Brandon

I got this neat 15" porcelain mobiloil shield from 1953 on Ebay. It came all the way from England and it took about 45 min to clean up (boy was it dirty) It came out pretty good..not perfect but decent.

During the past two weeks I was able to pick up a few additional items, both at the Front Range Gas Bash, and a trip to New Mexico.

The RPM can, & 3 Atlas cans , as well as a 60 gallon lubester, not shown, came from Front Range. The Marvel Mystery Oil was rescued from the trash. (I'm in the business)

The other cans, grease pump, nozzle, as well as the 2 pumps on their backs, Smithway L-3 & Bennett 2076, came from New Mexico. Also from the same trip, though not shown, a barrel pump, 2 "Tom's" vending machines, and a Detex security time clock.

Toms comments on the goodies:

The pumps are obviously a Wayne 70 & 866 w/o hips, an original low profile body (thanks elvis!!), a Flying A ethyl pump plate & Union oil A/T sign, a neat little S.O. of Cal oronite handy oiler display, a couple of two gal. cans (I really like the Tulane can) a 1 gal prestone can, a plastic oil bottle & a couple of sp plugs, some quarts from Fred's collection, and two different S.O. spare tire covers that never had the elastic sewed onto them. Gotta figure out how to frame the covers!!!
