Hey Guys & Gals,
It's time to share the petro relics that we've stumbled across in our recent travels, and check out what other people have found as well.
If you would like to contribute to this feature, simply post the pictures here or email them directly to me and I will post them for you. Be sure to include a story or description with your submissions.
If it's too close to the next installment, please note that I may hold your contribution for posting when the new FATW comes up on the 5th day of each month. Send 'em in!!
Happy trails!
Wes

Let's start things out with a very cool Chevron station spotted by oldgasser Jack R. Thanks Jack! [This message has been edited by thermactor (edited 08-07-2007).]

This neat old station looks like it could still hold some goodies inside... Neat old brick station: Here's a modified Pure station, now a liquor store. Sadly, these are getting harder and harder to find.

Here's one that I'm not sure about. The building, now a liquor store (recurring theme?) looks, in some ways, like a filling station. Check out the star in the brick on the gable... Could it be a Texaco or White Star?? Wes

Here is a Texaco which was lost to a fire some time ago. Here is one of the rest rooms Here's the handle to operate the "JOYCE" lift [This message has been edited by archer2 (edited 08-08-2007).] Here's the cash register and a cigarette machine. Wes, that's probably a 22" Texaco stained glass sign. I'd go back and check it out.

11 panels make up this FLYING A Neon sign. Was found laying in the Calif. high desert when flying in small plane. Spotter waited 2 years before going after it.
