It's the only way to fly Don! Especially when these guys write long stories and post all kinds of big pictures.

Fortunately, it has gotten cheaper too.

Thats a coincidence Don. My wife informed me today we are going to high speed too.
We have the same routines here-- click- go make a cup of coffee-- come back and drink the coffee-- then view what finally comes up. If you really want slooooooooow, get on e-bay. I think there is a conspirecy between e-bay and our ip as a way to sell high speed connection.

Hello Don,
I am sorry that I never emailed you a photo of those 2 different PowerLube 5 quarts. These are posted over in the "Showcase Section" on OldGas this month.

Happy Hunting and best wishes, Craig Palmer

I wonder if there are any others out there with the same (self defeating) mindset as I have. I don't watch TV, so I don't have cable or satellite dish etc. because I'm worried that I would develop a bad TV habit if I could get those history and science channels and the war documentaries. Likewise, I don't want to spend much time on the internet either, which I am afraid I would if I had a high-speed connection. I imagine this logic goes right along with the habit a friend of mine used to have - he would smoke Chesterfield King straights not because he liked them, but because no one ever bummed them off him. Ed;
I have found with my Cable, I actually spend less time on the net than before. With dial up it often took me 30 minutes just to check my emails and reply to a few. I would often go into work early and use the company computer because I could do in 10 minutes what it was taking me 30 to do at home.
You should consider at least getting DSL. Cheaper than cable but much much faster than dialup.
If you like looking at the pictures on this web site you are probably looking at this site 5 times longer than most to see the same things. Plus over feeding your dog between picture downloads....lol.
You may surprise yourself how much less time you spend on the internet.
But like most of us..... If you are looking at this you are probably already hooked and a faster connection will relieve a lot of frustration, and help lower your blood pressure. It sure did mine.

Hello Chuck;
You know, I have been thinking about your comments, and I realize that I don't really just cast about aimlessly for things to look at on the internet. The TV is a problem because it jumps out there and entices you with previews and just always having something going. The internet requires a pro-active position to help you waste your time. Maybe I will have to look into it a bit. The internet takes reading and writing - which I have to do all day long - maybe that is the difference. Thanks for the thoughtful comments. I could use a little less stress and frustration on a daily basis. Couldn't we all!
