Here are a couple of photo's of a Platolene 500 Bowser pump I just finished for a customer. I posted this because it is a brand that you don't see often and the logo is awesome. Sorry about the bad photo, I am not a photographer and it is hard to get the pump highlighted with all the other stuff in the background. All he wanted was to buy the globe but the seller said he had to buy the pump also. The customer then wanted something different so I had it pin striped and take a look at the logo, it is custom painted on there, not a decal, unbelievable work. The custom logo was painted by Kenny Hill of Greenfield Indiana. He is one of the top custom car graphic artist anywhere around. I also installed a motor on the meter and put a switch in the nozzle.

Killer pump Tom!!! You was telling me about it at Peotone and WOW! By the way i am needing one of those lenses.... keep an eye out for me one.
Us being from Indiana really can relate to Platolene 500! The refinary was or is where the Toyota truck plant sits today in Princeton, IN i believe. I know the family that owned the property sold some of it to Toyota truck division but i am not 100% sure if the plant is sitting on it or if it was across the street.

Looking for anything from Hoosier Pete, Platolene 500 and Red Bird.

Wonderful pump!!! I am impressed by the custom job you have done with the pinstriping. I like a lot the logo painted on the pump. It's a shame you just put two pictures. In the second picture below the logo there is the tag "For use as a motor fuel only", is it in the back door? Is this a Platolene 500 fantasy logo? I'd like understand better... Congratulation for the great job!

Thanks guys for the kind words.
Enrico, The Lead Motor Fuel sign is only on one door of this pump, the other is on one side, that was how the signs were orignally installed and that is how I left it.
The Platolene logo painted on the door is a direct copy from the original globe that is on top of this pump. I have never seen an original pump plate or decal with this exact logo. This is a local company here in Indiana/Illinois but you rarely see anything out there for sale with this logo.
Tom.

Hey Tom, another great looking pump! Did the same guy paint this logo that painted the one on the White Rose pump? You both do great work. Will you be in Columbia?
