Not a 36B but just a 36, close enough? I restored this glass domed 36 to an original Signal scheme. These have 16 pieces that were originally chrome plated. Didn't want repops so went to great lengths to rechrome the originals. 5 trips to the plater for a heavy copper coat followed by sanding on my part. I did the nickel plate on the nozzle. Now all I need is a topless 36B for the other glass dome I have, maybe I can find one that's been ravaged by Dick? Vern

You did a great job Vern , I did one just like it about 6 years ago I used the red /orange color off the 5 gallon bucket like you have sitting there, the red color they used was almost the old Chevy engine block red, but the red you used is great too, I like it.

Nice pumps, good thing you posted your 36 Vern. The one I got turned out to be a 36, not 36B. Nice pumps, still don't know what I am going to do it as... keep posting guys!

Yes Don, the guts have been restored as well. I like to hit the switch and hear that familiar sound. Next one I do like that it will have a circulation system, so it is really pumping something through the sight gauge, maybe a light hydraulic fluid or mineral oil.
Hey Jeff, yours looks nice. Do you have the sight gauge for it? These had one of the best, a cylinder within a cylinder.

Vern, I noticed in your post you want to pump something on the next restore ... at work we have to use flame resistant hydraulic fluid in our carts and it has a red or pick look to it. It would look cool. Let us know how that goes. John
Looking for anything from Hoosier Pete, Platolene 500 and Red Bird.

I have always saved any pics of restored 36b's that I have seen as I have an unrestored 36b. I have pics about 70 pics of restored and unrestored 36b's in almost any common brand. Name a brand and I will post it. Jason

Wow, Sky Chief, you've got my attention. 70 pictures of 36b's? I for one would like to see some or all of them. If I can help, let me know.

Hello All, I emailed Jim 9 pics of 36b's restored in different brands. Hopefully he can post some of them. I can send more if anyone would like to see them as I still have plenty of other pics. Thanks, Jason
