I have this rex-hide windshield wiper blade thermometer, I have a option to buy and wanted to know your thoughts on value.

Don't have a good idea but my guess would be 400 to 500.

From some items I've seen before, I believe Rex-Hide was pretty active in the aftermarket wiper business from the mid- to late-1930's. John

Thanks guys was able to buy the sign, gave it a bath and it cleaned up really good. I did leave the spot untouched between 90 and 110 as it appears it was a gift to someone at one point and couldn't bring myself to remove it.

I bought my thermometer for about $150 a dozen years ago in the same rough condition but with a lot of paint splatters as well. I restored it in 2009. Basically I masked off all I could that wasn't white, sprayed it with a flat white spray bomb and then spent many, many hours with a sharp razor blade cleaning off the white where it shouldn't be. Luckily the black and faded orange areas are raised up from the white. It took a long time but I was recovering from heart surgery then and had time to spare. It was good therapy to be doing something positive. Cheers, Don.

I just noticed the difference in the temperatures between the two thermometers. Mine has to be the Canadian version that goes down to minus 60, yikes! Cheers, Don.

Don your thermometer looks amazing, I don't think I would have the patience to redo the white...that's crazy that yours goes down to minus 60 but that's what needed up that way.
