Email from Paypal saying what a "cool" purchase i had made.Logged in to Paypal and found a request for payment of $1,083.91 from a man named Richard Kramer,do not know him and have not purchased any thing of that amount. After jumping through all the hoops and finally talking to a person i was able to cancel the request.
I sent an email to Richard Kramer asking for an explanation,no answer yet.
His email-Krameerh@comcast.net
Anyone know him?

Paypal and several other money accounts are being used by scammers. I cancelled my Paypal account a while ago when they set regulations on my ability to speak freely. Even after that, I get these same notifications as you did. Other times, I am notified that Paypal has money in my account and to login in so that it can be cleared. All are false. My advice, do not open. Completely ignore. Paul www.severngaspumps.com

This is a scam to get access to your account by fooling you into clicking on any link in the email! If you did click on their link, they took you to a page that looks like the sign in and stole your sign in info when you typed it in. They use ebay, amazon, paypal and any other possible way but they just generate a email addy the starts out looking correctly but it is definantly not from those companies. Inform all of your contacts that you have been hacked and then go in through the protocall to recover your account. Seems like I've been getting 5 of these per day for the last couple years and thankfully never clicked on one of the links because I look at the whole email addy that it came from b4 clicking.

I frequently get the faked Paypal emails as well, they are hoping I'm dumb enough to use the links in the email. Never have recieved a non-legit request for payment though within Paypal.

I have well over a thousand Paypal transactions, incoming and outgoing, and never have lost a dime to a scam. <knock-wood> You have to be careful and be very wary of people you don't know, no matter whether you are using Paypal, your hometown bank or a wad of cash.
