Clipper was a west coast independent that had terminaling facilities here in Portland. One of the doors in the terminal where e store product still has the Clipper name on it. I'm not aware of a link between Mobil and Clipper but I take it Mobil could have been its demise as so many independents fell under the economic incapacity to compete against the majors.
