Please bear with me, as I believe this image needs some background:

I have a "thing" for old radio programs, especially those that were sponsored by Oil Company's. One of those programs was; "The Air Adventures of Jimmie Allen" which originally ran from 1933 to the start of WWII...

Some of the Major Sponsors were: Skelly Oil, HI-SPEED Oil, B-A (in Canada) and Richfield Oil...

This Aircraft is the oldest known still flying Stearman Model 4E... It was delivered to the Richfield Oil Company on Oct 28, 1929... The aircraft was later used by Richfield Oil, as a promotional vehicle for their sponsorship of the Jimmie Allen Flying Club.

From Aug. 28th to Sept 2nd 2013, this plane is scheduled to be flown to an Antique Aircraft show near Blakesburg, Iowa. The "Fly-In" is not open to the Public, but if anyone lives in the area they may get the opportunity to see the aircraft in flight?...
