That is cool. Shell had different yellows at different time periods and within each time period there were many shades. The style decal on it would be 30s. In the 30s and early 40s they used a orange-yellow color. This is my favorite color and time period. If you have any 30s Shell cans you could take it to the paint store to match it. I have a lot of Shell cans and there must be at least eight shades of this orange-yellow color so what you end up with will be good as long as it is a orange-yellow color. Here are some pictures from a 30s Shell painting and sign manual. If the lubester was outside it would have been painted yellow and red, if it was indoors it would have been painted cream.
