I have these two early Claude Federal Neon signs in the kitchen.
The "Pig Sandwich" is an old original from a Pig Stand drive-in. It is my favorite, both in looks and in historical significance. Pig Stands started in Dallas, Texas in 1921 and was credited for several firsts. They were credited as the first drive-in restaurant with carhop service. They also "invented" chicken fried steak, Texas toast, and onion rings.
The star Cafe sign I like because it says "Real Food". Makes you wonder what people were eating back then if this place had to put that on their sign!
