Wondering about the age or value for an
old AMOCO Drum,
I think it is a 35 gallon greese drum,
it has AMOCO in the oval, no torch on it and it is attached to a small hand truck,
just wondering if anyone can tell me the worth and does anyone collect this type?
Any info would be very helpfull.

Thank you!

May be too late now to even show a picture...my uncle is letting someone take it to a flea market where it will be almost given away. I wanted to list it on eBay if I found out if it would sell, now it maybe too late.

Any ideas of the value without a pic?
Has AMOCO in the oval (pre torch)

I believe it has a pump at top and is a 35 gallon.

Thank you for responding.

$25-$50?? but I'm no expert
Picture is usually pretty much necessary for a value and enjoyable by all.
I would probably pay at least almost nothing for it if not a little more if it was at the same flea market as me.
Hope things work out.

Thank you for your reply.
At a flea market where I live they probably wouldn't even pay that much. That's why I wanted to find out before it goes to the flea market. My Uncle doesn't think that I could ship it even after I sold and shipped a 6' long shell gas sign.

Any ideas about my other post "GREEN GAS"?

Thank you...I have become a pest lately. lol

Your not a pest!

I'd love to see the "green Gas" Globe lens.

Do you have 1 or 2 of the socony lenses you have on ebay?

Got Socony???

I will post a picture of the GREEN GAS in a little while.
Any ideas what gas co had that on their pumps?? I can't find anything on it and someone here looked all through their books and didn't find anything.

As for the SOCONY I may be listing the other not sure yet.

Glad I am not being a pest. lol

Any idea about the value of these two AMOCO grease drums or should I just send them off to the dump?

Due to condition the value is, IMO to low to bother with if you have to move/haul them anywhere. Cost to ship really would kill an ebay auction at any price. Would make a great garbage can for 5-10 bucks if you can find that person who can use one. If they were grade 8 or 9 then you would have something to pursue.

This is the first time I have seen the green Amoco can used with the Permalube on it. Wish it were a qt can.

Good Luck.
Kim

I would be interested in the green can, if it were closer. It looks like something that I'd like to have one of.....
