I was just trying to ask advice man on a sign.. I did not mean to ruin anyone's day over it. Bob- I did not realize how serious some people take the petro stuff and forum.. you cannot blame people for wanting help in identifying fakes.. this is where the moderator put my threads so it is in the right place. Some people collect advertising way beyond just gas station signs and the like.. And frankly, I know there will be others who will run into the same problem and will end up reading this thread due to unknowingly buying a fake off ebay. It takes time for people to learn. I own about 80 original vintage advertising metal signs made from legit companies from the Meek Co to Stout and many others I won't bother reciting. Having said that, There is nothing on the internet that I have seen that will tell you what exactly john Deere signs have been produced as originals and which ones have not.. likewise with many advertising signs. I have learned much of my knowledge through personal experience and asking experts and buying books on it and doing research myself.. but have not educated myself on John Deere properly. I believe I have gotten the main point though..if it has not been seen before, and it's not porcelain and larger and selling for thousands, it is probably a fake. And lean to the rule that a sign is a fake unless proven otherwise. Anyways, Thank you Bob and everyone else for your help. For those I offended with the thread, I apologize and I hope this serves to help others in the future, because you better believe there will be more fakes to come on ebay.

I was the one... That screwed up; not you...

At times, some of us "bark a lot" (too often me)... But, most of us... Get over it, in a hurry...
