The pictured face plates are the ones that came with my Wayne 70 when I purchased it. This is a Wayne 70 with the sight glass above the Ad Glass. Notice these face plates have black blocked around the dial windows. My computer dials are white numbers which makes sense against a black background (good contrast). The replacement face plates I see offered are all white. Can someone confirm these face plates are for a Wayne 70 and explain the "black" inset.

Also does someone have a valid color number in PPG for East coast Richfield Pale Yellow? The numbers 85391 and 85132 found in earlier posts don't seem valid to my local paint jobber.

Edit: My dials are black with white numerals and the Sherwin-Williams number for Richfield did not cross over to PPG by my local jobber.

According to the PCM guide to Gas Pump restoration, the yellow for the east coast was 53539 for Sherwin-Williams paints.

I have seen a lot of Wayne 70's and haven't run across those plates, but again, all the Wayne 70's that I have seen, had the black wheels with white indented numbers.
I think you furnished your own explanation when you said that your wheels were white??

I have had quite a few pumps with those plates on them over the years.

Thought this was worth documenting for the group about PPG paint. PPG Concept DCC #85391 is an agricultrual yellow (John Deere??) suitable for Richfield yellow. Formula is:

Bringing to top to ask a different question. Is this computer correct for a Wayne 70? If so, where are the gallon total numbers. The face plates that came with the pump have slots for numbers, so what am I missing? Also how do the edge trim plates fasten to the face plates?

You're missing the totalizer. Bolts in the center of the first picture. The 2 small drive gears to the left are what drives it.

"Edge Trim Plates"??? If you're referring to the tin pieces on each side of the VR, they are missing the top piece and they do not attach to the face plates.

Revising the yellow color to a more pale yellow:

Using a postal scale set to grams, I started with a batch of 300 grams of the above mixture and added 60 grams of the DMC 900 strong white to make it more pale. I suppose you could just add 60 to the above formula when ordering from your paint jobber.
