Hello to all , I'm a new member and looking forward to learning and sharing any info. I do restorations on most any antique items but mostly tractors , gas pumps and such. I was referred to this site as I recently acquired a Raymond model B pump made in Adrian MI, and am looking for any info on how many of these are out there amoung the collectors and what kind of parts are available if any? Any info would be great.

Not a lot of Raymond gas pumps out there. Tell us exactly what parts you need and you might get lucky.

Post a picture to we like to see things that don't come up often.

Most of the pump is there , the dome top is missing, the hand crank or pump fill handle is missing, and at some point in time it was converted to an electric fill with a pump and a switch wired and plumbed into it. Also I need to figure out the outside sheet metal for it but I do have all the outside cast door with the company and model on it. I will post some pics as soon as I figure out how ... Ha!!

Near the Carson City area , pretty nice start for Michigan weather in November with 70 degree temps this week.... I'm sure we will pay for it shortly.

I believe you are the person who just ordered pictures of the pump, from me. Any Raymond is a hard to find pump, and looking at the pictures you sent me you may have a parts pump. In over 25 years in this hobby you are the first person I know of who ever found a B.

There were four version of the B, hand, air, electric and hand/air, so I don't think anyone made changes in your pump.

Also, getting skins rolled might be impossible since there isn't any available to use as pattern.

Thanks for all the info and the ad photos Jack , I do have most of the sheet metal as well but has rust through on parts of the bottom and a little on the sides. It does have the hinges still on one half of the skins. The sheet metal looks to be all smooth with just a round taper from the top to the bottom. Maybe if I'm lucky a skin with similar dimensions from another maker with some fabricating will work. I'm really wondering more about the dome top, I'm sure one can be made but I just want to make sure it's as close to original as possible.

Hey I know where Carson citie is my family has a sugar bush ( maple syrup making place) up there you've probabley herd of it. Rinky brothers maple syrup. Are you related to the people that own the boat lift company.

You can create a temporary dome the Dick Bennett way. Go to a kitchen supply store and find a salad bowl the size of the dome and modify it to work.

Yes I know of the Rinkies that make the syrup, and yes the Feighner boat company is distant relation.... Some how ha!!

I have a Raymond BL, not sure if it's different from a "B". Would like to see some pics of your pump, if you search Raymond visible you will see a pic of mine. Tom

Forgot to say that the dome top on mine is really heavy and made from cast iron, Tom

There are three pictures of the B in my Gas Pump ID book. There is also a picture of the B on my website: www.petrocollect.com.

The B was available as a hand, air, hand and air, and as electric, so it is possible that your pump was always an electric operated.

I will have to check out ur BL Tom, a cast dome would be a big challenge to make, does ur access door say BL on it ? I still haven't got the pics on here yet but will work on getting them on soon. Thanks , and thanks again Jack on the info.
