Greetings,
Being new in the oil and gas pump phase, it sure has been fun thus far. I can't believe I've been without all this time. I've been caught up in restoring old Tonka's and American Flyer trains. I love the history and nostalgia associated with gas stations, pumps and automotive advertising. I told my wife I was going to start a new hobby. Well, she's been very undersatanding but with limited space, I should think about giving up some of the trains. That's ok. Its all about give and take. You need to give up a little (sometimes a lot) to get a little. Anyway, for those of you who can post pictures, I would love to see your projects - past and present and your restorations. Its all about sharing and learning from each other. I appreciate your time and look forward to your posts. Have a good one!

Rudy

I just sent Rudy an email about giving up his trains! Bud likes trains! Better to make the hobby something like "transportation", then you can mess around with everything good!LOL

Rudy,
Check out Restoration Of The Month (ROTM) over in the Showcase forum.
Bud has it figured out....lots of things fall into the "transportation" catagory. Trains, old cars, gas stuff, scooters. What did I forget Bud?

Rudy, Run away, run away fast don't look back, just go! you think trains had a hold on you, you haven't seen nothing yet. There has been no known cure of the gas bug, once you have been bitten, but if it is too late Welcome aboard because we are all infected here and you will be among friends.

Hey Lastgas Bob, you forgot airplanes and boats, both real and models, then theres always racing and old cars that go so good with the petro artifacts.I am a sucker for anything that keys my memory of good old times. Can get just as excited about a great old roadmap with wonderful artwork as a pump but this was sure one of the great loves of my life:
