I am always very appreciative of anyone who has served this country. I too am a Korean Vet and have proudly served.

I sent you to that page of my website so you could see the pictures I have there, I do this all the time. I knew you had purchased a manual so I didn't expect you to be buying another one.

The tools you have that you use to do all that restoration you paid good money for, and I would believe you don't give them away. My literature is my tools, I have spent over $40,000 buying all the literature I have. I don't think it is too much to ask for a small amount for the information they contain.

Insulting the late Dick Bennett is not the best way to get along with anyone on this site. Even my wife is annoyed over that.

Incidentally, my 906 manuals devotes page 15 to the conduit, and page 16 to the sight glass.

This is my last reply to this post, if I could delete it I would and I don't intend to open it again.

Mr. Williamson amongst the many things I learned from the "dead guy" Dick Bennett, and continue to learn from the back pages of this site, even now, is the use of the Ignore this User button. You have earned its use.

Mr. Williamson you have been a member of this site for all of two weeks and you have already insulted two great, knowledgeable members. I haven't been on this website very long myself, but I have been in 'the hobby' for a long time. I replied with a joke about "just buy another one :)", and you responded about my education.... Fair enough - a joke back, I have thick skin. But I would never even think of joining a website and start bashing people you know nothing about, especially one who has passed away.

This website is a great resource and creates good friendships, after a while some may say it's even like a family, especially after you start going to shows and meet and hang out with them. My advice is, if you don't like the advice given, just ignore it and move on. After some time you will learn who is who on here (and their area of expertise) and you will see and appreciate what a great website this truly is.

Let me paraphrase Jack's email 1) I know a guy who could be really helpful but he's passed 2) Don't buy something you don't know how to assemble, like don't ask a question unless you know the answer 3) get another pump to copy 4) a parts manual won't help you but let me direct you to my site which sells manuals, but they won't help.
Jack may be a great knowledgeable guy but know one knows how smart a man is until he tells another person what he knows. I've never had the answer to whatever awaits me each day but I do seek useful advice.

I didn't see your advice as a joke as well as Mr. Sim's similar suggestion. I'm not a great collector, redid 3 pumps in 45 years of which I've given all of them away to relation. I have built 17 complete street rods and done probably 10-12 other partial auto restoration projects every year over those years plus operating a small farm and working paper mill maintenance for 32 years on swing shift. Plus raised 3 children. I acquired this basket case as myself and 2 other friends cleaned some garage space for a friend, who has suffered a serious heart attack and unable to do much for himself. The job was to let me get his 1967 Nova SS, which he purchased brand new, back in his garage vs. sitting in the weather. When I complete this pump I will return it to him as a gift. I'm 74 and work hard 7-10 hours a day and I guess not much of a joker, plus Jack's advice did not seem very "helpful"
