If a laid back atmosphere in the Smokey Mountains surrounded by about 100 vendors of "rusty treasures" is not your cup of tea...stay home. It's an awesome show.

We have done this show for years and would never miss it. A very friendly show with Chip and his folks doing a great job. It is usually HOT so be ready for that. A real down home setting with lots of junk.

I am going to try to make it to Dixie. It sounds like fun.
I went to the 127 sale on Saturday. I did not find any good items, however I only traveled about 50 miles on the section close to where I live. Traffic was heavy and it seemed like everyone had used tires for sale, some were worn down to the wire.

I NEVER miss Dixie Gas.......of course it's only a couple of hours away for me!
Gary said it right---laid back, lotsa junk---I always see/sell/buy weird and wonderful stuff there, and usually the big egos are checked at the gate. It's almost a social event. Just don't wait until Friday afternoon to show up, as it'll be slim pickins...

And Rex, you talkin to me? I missed 127 AND the NSRA Nats for a trip to Sturgis bike rally---can't be everywhere(but I'd like to!)

Mike, bet you were'nt thinking a lot about gas and oil in Stugis !!! At least you got there, cool place to be. Probably was more fun when there was less people, used to go when there was less than 100,000 and you could count the vendors on 1 set of hands , and a bike on a trailer was the exception (not the rule)......dodogas

I don't know if any of you are street rodders
Dixie Gas is the same weekend as Shades of the Past street rod show in Pigeon Forge Tn.
(9/5 &9/6). There will be a lot of good junk
at their swap meet plus a lot of super nice
cars. ALL WITHIN A FEW MILES OF EACH OTHER.
Makes for a great weekend.

Enjoy
Beasly
