Hello all.
I am restoring a Gilbarco A-M with the ECO internals. All seems to be working well, except the following, and I would greatly appreciate your input or suggestions!
The mechanism is applying the "shots" correctly, but the part that strikes the pivoting arm with the bell-clapper on one end, appears to be too far away from the bell-clapper, so the bell does not ring.
I don't see where any adjustment is. I could easily weld onto the arm so the air-gap is less, but I hate wrecking originality, especially if I am overlooking something due to inexperience.
I know this is not the world's clearest question, as I don't know the correct terms for the parts yet. If anyone has any ideas please post something.
grateful thanks,
morgan
