Can anyone recomend any shipping companies who they have used for 'blanket' rapped shipping? I bought a restored gas pump in GA and need to get it to denver but unable to make a create for it. I know its more risky to use the blanket wrapped shipping but I think it's my only option at this point. Let me know if you know any good shippers.

Scott, Forward Air, whom is not a trucking company, does not require a crate. You can go to their website (check Google) and find out the airports they serve. I'm pretty sure they serve Denver, I got a Wayne 60 from a guy who used Forward Air out of Denver. I have not yet heard of any damage problems from them.
What happens is you bolt the pump to a pallet, wrap the pump with cardboard and that's it. It's also cheaper than trucking. On the OPP from here (Wilmington NC) to Detroit, trucking would've been $375, Forward Air was only $250.
Take care Scott, I hope this helps!

We did the Barrett Jackson show in January. The pumps we sold needed to be shipped. We used Craters+Freighters. They picked up the pumps at the booth. Wrapped them in blankets. Took them to a central warehouse and crated them before shipping to the customer's door. Very reasonable as well. They are a National Co. and can be found on Google.

Craters & Freighters has an office in Denver. They're on the south South Stapleton frontage road. 303/399/8190. HTH
