Found a place that carries Black Diamond abrasive, 100# bag for $10.50. This sounded pretty good to me . I think this is the one a lot of you sugested. Ok finally the question, how many bags to do a full pump (tall one, Wayne 70)?

100# bag of black beauty here is about $6.00,I'M guessing about 3 bags to be safe.Have fun!

Wow, I have been paying 5.99 for 50lbs at Northern Tools, I wish I could find it cheaper.

Menards sells it for around 3.50 for a 50 pound bag. Sand consumption will be determined by how good of a blaster you have and proper air to sand mixture. I would use around two 50 pounds bags to do a complete pump. I would get more than you think you will use. You dont want to run to the store to get more sand when you run out after blasting for one hour. Sand is cheap, time is expensive

Can anyone suggest where to buy either Black Beauty or Black Diamond in the North East, like New Jersey? Northern tool shows $12 27# bags and $18 to ship (agghhh). Seems Menards is a central US chain not here on the east coast.

Yeah, I found mine yesterday at a local concrete mixing company. "Redi Mix". And was also told about a brick and block place that carried it.
