hi everyone, what fun I had today putting window and ad glass in a bennett 966, probally took me 3 hours. I will have to ask a priest for forgiveness regarding all the four letter words that flew uncontrollably out of my mouth.
thank goodness I didnt break the glass but boy did I want to. I still have to hang the doors, install the trim and a few other things,(my first pump restoration) if I can figure out how I will post a picture when it is done......AHHH I feel better now.

just my two cents!

I'd like to comment here on add glass and window glass. I know Seth from Vic's hangs around this site, and I've wondered why the people that sell the window rubber don't show in their catalog how to install it. A simple diagram showing how window rubber is installed would sure help those who have worked on pumps that didn't have any glass to begin with, or those of us that maybe didn't pay attantion when we took it out.
There are about ten different repro rubber types available so why not add a page of ten drawings.
Yes, I broke a ten dollar piece of glass on a Tokheim 39 once, because I didn't know I was putting it in wrong. [before I found this site too] I finally used plexiglas and sold the pump and never found out until several months later what the problem was.
Also, I've found that the repro rubber is thicker than the original in some cases and the original ad glass or computer glass has to be trimmed in order to go back in.
