Has anyone followed this sign over the past 5 years? I see it is a highlight sign selling at Barrett Jackson on Saturday January 27th. Does anyone know much about the 72” Cougar oil porcelain? I understand it is one of the rarest signs out there but curious if it is worth pursuing the high price I’m sure it will bring. Looking for input. Thanks!

The only time I buy at BJ is if it's a sign I've not been able to source anywhere else and I really want it. Auctions like BJ set the upper limits (and beyond sometimes).
I love the Barrett-Jackson experience...I go every year...but the prices on the premium pieces are crazy and not based on any kind of reality that I'm associated with.

Yep… I would guess this is a sign that is not easily sourced on the market. Should do quite well I’m guessing. Musco Gas good ($1,500,000) ????

I was fortunate to own it for about 5 minutes! Went to a guy in Albuquerque NM. This is probably the same one. I’m curious how bad a mistake I made selling it quickly. Time will tell. I think that is why I am fascinated with it. The one that got away! 😩

That’s probably the sign that sold on Facebook auction a while back for I think $115,00? I don’t think it will go for Musgo money but at BJ who knows? It’s a pretty rare one and most have been held in private collections and nfs until a couple surfaced recently. In this market it’s anybody’s guess what it will go for. Just depends on the two guys with the deepest pockets and biggest egos the day of the sale. 😎
