have parts that no longer need, but have to have a price on facebook. The other option is ebay in which many do not look at anymore, but at least get some kind of results. Thoughts ?

I have all but given up on ebay for selling most items, we just use it as a secondary storefront for our regular business. However, I have sold a ton of parts & collectbles etc on facebook though related groups etc. There is a large pool of savy buyers participating, or just lurking on those pages, and with a tag, someone who knows someone can put you in touch with a ready, willing and able buyer.

Facebook better than eBay in my opinion but both are equally watched I would think
Facebook= no fees

Ebay seems to eventually get the money you want, higher prices seem to go better on there. And items dont "time out". Facebook seems to sell quicker but for less, once a little time goes by, it's forgotten forever.
All my opinion obviously.

I guess if you’re not sure what to price things for you can benefit from an auction format. But, I’m not a fan of the “deal or no deal” pages on fb. Most of the sellers know what they will take for something so why not just price it and be done with it instead of trying to milk a few bucks more out of it. Plus, if I see something I need I don’t want to watch a post for two days and make multiple offers for it. eBay isn’t what it used to be and by the time you pay all the fees you can take 25-30% less an just sell it outright. All of the above is why I have so much junk I don’t need setting around….

I have very good luck with selling on my local Craigslist,as well as in person @ local swapmeets too.
Funny how they once were the norm,then we abandoned them for the venues you mentioned,now we're returning to them.

Funny how they once were the norm,then we abandoned them for the venues you mentioned,now we're returning to them. Suprised you are doing well with craigslist. I check it every once in a while here in Northern Wisconsin and its shockingly quiet, not much for sale anymore. Although I havent tried selling on there for a while now, maybe there are still a lot of "lookers".
