Found these online, before I pull the trigger wanted to know thoughts on authenticity. I searched them, and even looked at a post from OldGas but the links are no longer active so I can’t see the differences. Thanks!

If I remember correctly you lay a quarter in the corner and it should conform to the radius ! It’s been awhile since I had one and checked it . Someone correct me it I am wrong . The rust color is suspect ?

It's a half dollar that fits the radius exactly Buzzy.....I know I posted pics years ago on one of the threads but those are likely long gone since I used imageshack. Darin

Thanks Randy. I did a quick search and didn't find any of my past posts. Since the site has its own photo hosting now, I'll repost a photo of a half dollar on an original sign and hope it's here for a long time. Darin

Isn’t there something about these signs & the grommets? Original doesn’t have grommets & repops do? Or maybe I have it backwards??

Yes in the link Randy posted above I also mentioned that I hadn't ever seen an original sign that had grommets and I'd stay away from signs that have them. That post is 12 years old and I mentioned that there was some back and forth on this being an "absolute rule" on posts previous to this one, but I no longer remember the particulars. Darin

In my opinion, this sign is a repop. Not only does the coin trick work, but on an original, the blue edge line is perfectly concentric with the corner of the metal. The sign in question, up above, does not have concentric ‘rings’ sort to speak.
Here is a zoomed in picture of one of my real ones….
