My Dad owned a Standard/Amoco station for over 40 years. I have a couple quarts of LDO oil in plastic bottles that he said he got from his Amoco rep. I have not been able to find any information about these particular bottles or any images. Does anyone know when these would have been produced? Dad claims they were experimental packaging, but I can't find anything to verify that either. Any help would be appreciated.

I used to run LDO in my cars, I would guess it was a mid eighties to somewhere in the nineties product.

I worked in an Amoco Station in the mid sixties. Definitely remember the LDO oil, pretty sure in cans then. Bob

The Marathon quart has a date of 8-82 so I believe that would be around the time frame the round quarts were used.
I have always thought the quick switch to the rectangle plastic was to conserve space.
As I remember a case of round plastic quarts came in a single layer case of 12 where as the rectangle plastic came in a 2 layer of 6 on 6.
