I'm new to the forum so not sure where I should post this, but hope this is the right place. I built a garage and put a carport area on it to resemble a Texaco station. I picked up 2 Tokheim 39 tall pumps over the years to make an island station. one is a Sky Chief that I'm currently painting silver. The other one was white with green sides and top that someone threw some Sinclair stickers on. My intention was to paint this one red and make it a regular Texaco pump. I mounted them both outside for a few months before finally getting around to them. The green paint on the one pump was flaking off pretty easily to reveal a pretty decent white underneath. Of course I had no idea they made porcelain pumps so I took them to the sandblaster because obviously I wanted a red and a silver pump. The sandblaster informed me they were porcelain and did not blast the side panels or doors (he did blast the top) I can tell the doors were previously painted white, so I'm not sure if they are actually porcelain or not. Now I'm torn because I know I can paint this pump red, but I've also seen on this forum that porcelain pumps are somewhat rare and I'm not wanting to be that guy... I guess I was thinking I could throw it out there to see if anyone had good panels for a Tokheim 39 tall they either wanted to sell or trade for the porcelain ones.
