I looked in PCM's guide to restoration and am quoting them:

Conoco Minute Man was used from 1918 to around 1929. The pump was solid red, used Minute Man globe on metal body with 12" decal on pump.

This is the cover of a Continental Oil magazine from 1928. The gas pumps appear to be red, supporting the information from PCM.
