Hello everyone.

I am working on what I think is a G&B T-177 visible pump. The pump was previously used as a "yard pump" by a previous owner and suffered damage when it fell at some point. The old acrylic cylinder was shattered, but holding. When I removed the cylinder and got a good look at the cast iron cylinder base and the metal cylinder top, there were no provisions for gallon markers. The cast iron base has none of the usual holes or raised holders to accomodate gallon markers.

Did G&B ever use external gallon markers on its T-177 (or maybe T-176) pumps? Everything that I see online shows internal markers.

The blue pump in the photo below is the one I am working on.

Thanks in advance for your help.

My guess is that this model pump had the gallon markers etched on the cylinder.

Every 177 I've had had external numbers and external lights.

I agree with Morgan. My 177 had internal gallon markers. I will look at my restoration photos.

I misspoke yesterday. My GB T177 had 2 sticks of interior gallon markers. My base plate did not look like the photo posted. There were 2 brackets screwed down to the base plate. I have numerous before and after restoration photos if you need additional assistance. Send me a private message.

I have 2 G&B 177 pumps and both have internal gallon markers inside the cylinder. Both have landing plate which ecepts the gallon markers rods.
